The "Erich Klausener" training center is located in East Westphalia in the town of Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock. The property has been used for police purposes since the mid-1960s.
The "Erich Klausener" training center is home to
- Department 1 with Department 14, which is responsible for service dogs in the NRW police force,
- Department 4 (bachelor's training) with Department 43 for training as part of the bachelor's degree course for the senior police officer,
- decentralized property and event management (DLVM) as part of the central department and
- the STALAG 326 documentation centre.
This is where specialist practical training content is carried out for trainee inspectors in the senior police service.
Another focus is in the area of service dogs. The service dog handlers of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia receive comprehensive qualification through numerous introductory and adaptation training courses. The department also breeds its own new generation of service dogs on site.
