The police property in Münster has been used for police purposes since 1920. The "Carl Severing" Münster training center is home to the

• Division 1 (Specialist area of emergency response/deployment) with the advanced training area of driving and safety training in the Everswinkel training center,
• Department 3 (Leadership/ Management/ Technology Training, Health Management and Psychosocial Support)
• Division 5 (State Central Personnel Matters, Basic Training Matters) with the areas of Police Medical Service and State Central Personnel Selection and
• Decentralized Property and Event Management (DLVM) as part of the Central Department.

In addition to numerous training events and seminars, the Münster location is also responsible for selecting applicants for direct entry into the higher police service (career group 2.1) and part of the training for council applicants (career group 2.2, formerly "higher service").
