The number of domestic burglaries has fallen continuously in recent years. With the campaign Riegel vor!, the Rhine-Erft district police authority is trying to continue this trend.
Be alert!
What is the man doing at my neighbors' house even though they're not home? Why has there been a car with a person behind the wheel in our residential street for half an hour? Why are there noises coming from the neighbor's apartment when the neighbors are away?

If you make such or similar suspicious observations, call 110 and tell us the following:
Who is calling? (Your name, address and telephone number)
What did you see? (Description of the person, license plate number)
What did you notice?
Where is this? (Place, address)
Secure your home!
Always close the windows and lock the door when leaving your house or apartment.
But you can also do more!
Mechanical security devices on windows and doors often mean that burglars give up early and don't get into the house or apartment in the first place.
The rate of attempted break-ins in the Rhein-Erft district is around 40%.
